Applications are open until Thursday, 28 August 2025 (with early bird discount for students applying before the first round of selections set on 19th June 2025) for the 1st Level Master’s Program in Human Rights and Conflict Management. The Master’s Program, directed by Emanuele Sommario, Professor at Scuola Sant’Anna, has a long-standing tradition of graduates who are now working for international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union, governmental agencies, and major international NGOs engaged in human rights protection, humanitarian assistance and development cooperation.

Classes will begin on 13 January 2026 with on-campus training until July 2026, amounting to approximately 440 hours of lectures aimed at fostering an in-depth understanding - both theoretical and practical - of the key connections between human rights protection and conflict management.
After the coursework, students will carry out a mandatory internship or a job experience of at least 3 months, to be carried out anywhere in the world, starting from August/September 2026. Students will obtain their diploma in May 2027, after the discussing their final dissertation.

“The MHRCM is a program that in more than 20 years has prepared hundreds of experts engaged in promoting respect for human rights and providing humanitarian assistance in the most difficult scenarios around the world. Unfortunately, today more than ever, the international community is in urgent need of properly trained professionals in these areas,” comments Emanuele Sommario, director of the Master's program. In this context, the MHRCM aims precisely to contribute to a holistic, constantly updated, and all-round education that can support future professionals in their careers.
